The Story Behind the Flame

Jared at the grill

One Truck. One Guy. A Whole Lot of Fire.

Jared started Devil's Kiss four years ago with a used food truck, a flat-top griddle, and a recipe for smash burgers that he couldn't stop making for family cookouts. People kept telling him he should sell them. So he did.

He parked on Artcraft Road on the West Side and started flipping burgers. No restaurant experience. No investors. Just a guy who was tired of working for other people and knew he could make a better burger than most sit-down joints in town.

Four years later, he's still on Artcraft. Still working the griddle himself. Still smoking pork for 12 hours before every service. The devilish theme? That came from the name of his first signature burger — the Hellfire Smash. The rest of the menu followed the vibe. Now the whole truck runs on that energy: bold flavors, no pretension, and a name you won't forget.

What We're About

Made on the Truck

Nothing pre-made, nothing frozen. Every patty gets smashed on a hot griddle and seared until it gets that perfect crust. You can watch it happen.

Low & Slow BBQ

The pulled pork goes on the smoker the night before. Twelve hours later, it's falling apart. That's the only shortcut we take — there are no shortcuts.

West Side Loyal

We started on the West Side and we're staying on the West Side. Artcraft Road is home. The regulars are family. That's not changing.
